Juliana Curi is an award-winning Brazilian director whose signature blends strong visual craft with purpose-driven storytelling.
Her work has been described as “captivating and one-of-a-kind” (Golden Globes Hollywood Press Association), “dazzling performance art” (Deadline), “bold and expressive cinema” (The Hollywood Times), and “a transcendental visual approach” (East Bay Times).
With over a decade of experience directing for renowned global brands, Juliana received special recognition from UN Women for challenging gender stereotypes. Her most recent global project, The Dove Code—celebrating 20 years of Dove’s Real Beauty—won Cannes Lions, Effie, and Anthem Awards, expanding the international conversation around artificial intelligence and beauty.
Juliana debuted her first feature film, the critically acclaimed UÝRA – The Rising Forest, in 2022. The film has screened at prestigious venues including the Barbican in London, BAM in Brooklyn, Fondazione Prada in Milan, and the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, earning 17 awards, including honors from London Film Week and New Filmmakers LA.
Most recently, she became the only Brazilian selected for the prestigious Directors Guild of America (DGA) Television Mentorship Program in Los Angeles, which prepares a new generation of storytellers in Hollywood.
